I was looking at Scott's site and found the following S2 interesting:http://www.frontiernet.net/~scottychaos/Secx500a.JPGWas this just a cheap solution for replacing windows? What's the story? Thanks,Gerald W. Kopiasz

yeah, those are very odd windows!obviously "home made"..my guess is this:the engine sat on a siding somewhere, and was vandalized.all the windows smashed out.then, when the owners watred to fix it up to run it again, rather than bother to find replacement Alco windows, (could take awhile, and be expensive) they simply made their own new windows..the empty holes filled with plywood or metal sheets, then crude holes cut out for glass or plexiglass.but thats just a pure guess..I really have no idea.Scot
