I found this car through Railswap. It appears to be in fantastic shape, if I had the $ I'd purchase it. I hate to see it scrapped but it says they will in early 2006. Anyway check it out hopefully someone will get it I'd hate to see this one go to the torch.

It does seem too good to be true, though. I've seen parties spend more than that just getting a good truck under a car. However, it occurs to me that something has to be "up", and anyone here that might consider this car can probably rattle off a long list of potential restrictions or potential problems.

However, for the "do-it-yourself" captive business car that will never leave the short line or regional.............

I believe we used to get that car in St. Albans with the official observation car.

Remember this car well from the "Santa" train here in Port Huron, which used to be held at the Port Huron Car Shops. I believe the other car it was usuallt paired with, knicknamed "The Blue Goose" was purchased by Wheeling & Lake Erie at some point.
