Of the D&H, shortly after the fire in 1992. This had been a 10-stall building, reduced to four after dieselization. Shortly after CP's takeover of the D&H in 1991, historic company records and drawings, dating at least as far back as 1850, were moved here from Watervliet. They were reduced to ashes in the fire. The turntable had already been removed before the fire, and presumably scrapped. The roundhouse was razed shortly after this photo.

A detached machine shop remained until 1995, for salt storage, but with a side office for track maintenance personnel. On the shores of Lake Champlain, the prime location now has a high-end convention hotel under construction.

The narrow gauge Chateaugay RR (to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake), which was later absorbed and standard gauged by the D&H, did not use this roundhouse, but had another facility a bit south of here.
