I have posted a collection of about 45 photos taken at the Beijing Railway Museum. The museum is in a very large building and there is room inside to add equipment in the future. They are still in the early stages and lack some of the more in depth displays that tell deeper more personal stories but they get high marks for a large roomy open building.

The museum is about a 45 minute bus ride from downtown. It can be reached by the #403 bus from the main train station. The ride cost only 1 or 2 yuan. At the end of the bus ride you still have to walk about 1/2 mile or so. We were lucky enough to run into a Trains Unlimited tour group from the US and ended up hitching a ride back with them in a very nice bus.

Excellent photos. With all the great photos of Chinese steam available, I'll never have to actually go there..
