Here are a few pictures from last weekend's volunteer get-together at Steamtown.

I really love seeing this, as I'm sure everyone does. Thanks for posting the frequent updates, Scott.

We try to schedule volunteer weekends at least 2 weeks in advance. If you would like to be included in those notifications, please send your email address to me at director@railroadcity.com. Many volunteers arrive at Steamtown at times other than when those of us from Altoona make the trip. You can get me your contact info and some info on your skills and I will provide them to our crew.

Thanks

Truely great photos!!!! One question though, is the caption correct in that the outer wrapper will be welded back together prior to the sidesheets being installed? Would it not be easier to install the internal components first while they can be slid into place from the outside?

Just trying to learn,
Roger

The order in which those components will be reassembled is up to the crew but much of that can be installed through the fireman's side, which is still open or from the bottom. Stay tuned for more updates.

Thanks
