Does anyone know if the operating records of the East Jordan and Southern still exist? If so, where and are they available for research? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

IIRC the EJ&S grew out of a logging line and the local county historical society has their records. Not sure what period these cover, but it may be worth an inquiry. You will probably have to go visit them to get anything from these.

The East Jordan & Southern started life as the East Jordan Lumber Company, which might be the name to check about. Their #1 was the former Lake Street Elevated #15, an 0-4-4T Forney built by Rhode Island Loco Works in 1893, and a sister of #9, now at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis. #15 went to the lumber company in 1898. It was research on this loco that got me some info on the rest of the engines of the line. Hope this helps.
