I need to create new daily locomotive inspection forms for our diesel locomotives at Travel Town.

Since this is one of those areas where I love to plagerize liberally, I'm looking for any examples in use by others.

If anyone can post any links or email me examples I really appreciate it.

The key to resolving this problem is 'pleasing' the local FRA man. So find out what is familiar to him (a local big rr or shortline) and work from one of their forms.

This is more a 'human factors' issue than a technical or rules issue.

You might try touching base with John Rimmasch at Wasatch Railroad Contractors. His group (company) has some experience in developing and producing a variety of forms, training manuals, etc for shortlines, tourist lines and such.

Though I am not directly associated with the company, my son is the graphics guy.

Doc Lewis is very kind in his remarks. What Doc has not mentioned is that our company, Wasatch Railroad Contractors has developed such inspection forms for a number of tourist lines in the US. Additionally, we have provided training on proper FRA "style" forms at FRA organized training sessions for tourist lines and operations.
