I came across a mention that the LIRR is going to build a new turntable-and actually upgrade the locomotive shop-to the tune of 9 million bucks.

The steam era layout and appearance of the entire Morris Park complex probably lasted well into the mid-80's-if not beyond. Over the last 15 years, there have been some very obvious changes in appearance.
