The Catskill & Tannersville was the 3 foot connector between the summit of the Otis Elevator Railroad at the Catskill Mountain House, and the Village of Tannersville, New York (about 5 miles). The line was scrapped in 1919.

I was wondering if anyone knew the ultimate fate of its two locomotives. The William F. Helmer book "Rip Van Winkle Railroads" has this information:

C&T No. 1 - The Isaac Pruyn, 2-6-0, Baldwin #32715 Built 1908, 42 14X20 63,000

C&T No. 2 - The Alfred V. S. Olcott, 2-6-0, Baldwin #18884, Built 1901, 42 14X20 63,000

Per the Helmer book, the disposition was:

for No. 1: Sold to Birmingham Rail and Locomotive Co., 1924 for $1,750. to Bellvue & Cascade No. 3, them C. M. St. P & P No. 2.

for No. 2: Sold to Birmingham Rail and Locomotive Co., 1924 for $1,750. to Bellvue & Cascade No. 2, them C. M. St. P & P No. 3.

What happened to them after they worked at the Milwaukee Road? When were they scrapped?

One source I've seen (can't remember where) showed them sold to Cuba. Someone on the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum might know more.
