I am curious, what part of the convention did you find most informative or most helpful?

While the contacts with suppliers at the vendor area and the seminars are both extremely helpful sources of relevant info, the networking is the most valuable part of the convention for me.

I agree with Dave; the networking was the greatets part of the experience for me, including
being able to meet Dave! Many of you don't realize how gratifying it is to get to finally meet those who have been inspirations to those of us in the younger (or maybe "next" would be better) generation of rail preservationists. Part of what I learned at the convention is just how hard it was for many of those in the over-40 crowd to get into this field. I came away with an even greater appreciation of where the Railway Presevation field is today because of the efforts that many of you began to put forth 20, 30, or 40 years ago. From a representative of the just-under-30 crowd, I thank everyone I had a chance to meet with at the convention for their cander in regards to their own experiences.

Thanks,

T.J.

That little blue smiley faced, cylinderless engine can generate in a weekend 50% of the typical RR museum's annual budget.
The question no could answer was.... "how much more could you charge for train ride with "Thomas" if "Barney" was the engineer?"
