Rare milage trips should be interesting.

The trip to Martinsburg also has some real nice scenery, which is part of what makes the EV my favorite short line.

I second Scott's statement - ride it!

I just had the chance to ride the EV/H&RS from Duncansville to Martinsburg. I enjoyed some of the finest branchline scenery I have ever seen in PA--it's a real farmer's railroad, sort of like a big brother to the Stewartstown. I highly recommend the trip as well.

It's neat to hear that Ritchey's Dairy will be a stop on the excursion.

Back in the 1980s, only a few years after the EV began running into Morrison's Cove, they stopped at the Dairy. Power that day was Everett SW9 8990, and they ran the trip with the Horseshoe Curve NRHS coaches. I'd have to say that my parents taking me on that trip cemented the Everett as the railroad in which I had the most interest, and really began a lifelong fascination with the Everett and the old PRR branches in that area.

For my money, the finest ice cream in Blair County can be had at Ritchey's. I can't drive my family through Morrison's Cove without stopping there. If you go, try the Chocolate Butter Fudge.
