I've just finished reading Gilbert Lathrop's book "Little Engines and Big Men" about his father's career on the Rio Grande. He mentioned that his dad had been the regular engineer for a while on narrow gauge ten wheeler 169. I recall reading on one of the boards or in one of the magazines that the 169 was being restored to operating condition. Wes Barris' site also says she is. I'm wondering if she's still under restoration and, if so, what is her current status and is there any projected completion date.

The best place to ask this question would be on the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum: http://www.ngdiscussion.net

There is also a website for the Friends of the 169: http://friendsof169.org/

Thanks for the information. I visited the site and found some information and enjoyed the photos. I'll go over to the narrow gauge board and see what they have to say.
