On another Wisconsin note, Wisconsin Central has retired all of thier ex-Soo and ex-CNW GP30s. The GP30 era on WC ended when #711 pulled into Shops on Nov. 22nd and put in the dead line. It is expected that all GP35s and GP30s remaining in the deadline at Shops and the Point will be forwarded to IC's Woodcrest shop for scrapping in the next month or two.

LSTM has sent a letter requesting the class unit of the ex-Soo units, #700, from Canadian National. Are IRM, MTM or any other museums classic peices of midwestern railroading? Better hurry before its all gone!

P.S. WC has been very genarous over recent years with donated equipment, but how receptive has CN been?

Any developments on where the Kettle Moraine steam locomotives and coaches will be going? Any new homes promised? Just curious!

I haven't heard anything, but that 2-6-2 would have looked great pulling a train of wooden coaches out of North Freedom!
