Although bobyar2001 may be one of the founders of this site, I feel that his monopolizing of the site with photo links is way out of line. Today he has 17 of the 25 posts on the first page. I think it is time that you either give him a separate page where he can post his photo links or restrict him to say to two or three posts a day. If his desire is to push other posts to the following pages, he has been quite successful.

Enough already!

Later!
Mr. Ed

Bob's posts often trigger very interesting conversations. See the Fall River thread as one recent example. Keep 'em coming!

Ed, IMHO, if Bob's posts bother you, just skip over them. I agree with Rob, they have triggered many an interesting discussion on RYPN. If the subject doesn't interest you, just skip it. You aren't being forced to read any of the posts in this forum.

Usually I just skip over them, unless the title is very interesting. However, it is confusing that his name doesn't stay up-to-date; it seems 5 years old!

So did the posting of the of picture of the Erie locomotive sent to Korea, which I also enjoyed. Ditto for the pictures of Barry Scrapyard.

He also has a "real" job, and posts when he can. Thanks Bob, for all of your digging; please keep up the good work.

I log in, scan the messages, and only read those that interest me. Sometimes Bob comes up with some amazing pictures but most I ignore because the subject doesn't interest me - today I was able to, albeit briefly, relive my memories of the filthy locomotives I saw as a small boy in southern England - keep up the good work Bob, I, for one appreciate it. I just wish I could find the time to search more..................

I enjoy Bob's posts of often-obscure photos. I skip the ones that don't interest me. Keep up the good work, Bob!

I too respectfully disagree. I read this board almost daily and often Bob has come up with something of interest to me. Also I sent him a bit of copy regarding continuing revival of service on a once abandoned rail line here in Oregon. I sent it to him as I thought he could filter whether or not it was something that belonged on the board. He was good enough to post it. Thanks Bob and keep posting!!

Bob’s pictures remind us of our railroad heritage and history.

When I was younger I didn’t care much for history. Now, Bob’s pictures remind me of how much of railroading history is a part of my life. From scampering around the old Lehigh Valley yard in South Plainfield when I was a kid. To getting the crap scared out of me when I picked up the trackside phone at the old LVRR station and a booming voice on the other end just said “HELLO”. It’s Bob’s pictures that transport back in time and make me smile.

Just like the dial on the TV, use you mouse and choose not to click. If you don’t want to look at the pictures, pick up a paint bush and slap some paint on some old rusty railcars. You’d be amazed at what you can accomplish when you channel your energy in the right direction.

Keep um comming Bob!!!!

If his posts bother you, than skip over them... He is a REAL contributor here, unlike me, and my 4th post in years...

Keep it up Bob!

The others have already said it as well or better than I can. I'll just add my vote, keep posting Bob.

I agree that some posts do make good conversations, but most pictures make a conversation, and the internet is full of images. Although I skip most of them unless it's local, it does flood the thread list leaving other pertinent conversations on another page.
