The Flimsies piece below mentions the 1950s British movie "The Titfield Thunderbolt", one of a very few films about railway preservation.

Does the railway line it was filmed on still exist, or did it succumb to the Beeching axe?

One of my msot favorite movies! I had read that the line was dismantled, but the station was being restored as a museum. How I'd to have that on DVD!
