What railroad operates through Pacific Beach, WA? How heavily is it used or is it used at all?

The Northern Pacific and then BN operated through here, the next 2 miles right along the Pacific, then into Moclips, the westernmost point on the NP. The tracks were torn up about 1981 or 2. I rode this branch several times in about 1964 with my Dad, an NP conductor.

A truly great memory, we would arrive at Moclips early, around 8AM, and spot a few cars for the shingle mill. They would load these for the return trip, in about 2 -3 hours. The crew would pull the train back down the tracks below the bluff, right along the ocean, and usually sleep for a couple hours (this was back in the 16 hour days). One time when I was along, there was a very low tide and we all went down and dug razor clams. They made a wonderful breakfast on the caboose that day!
