According to this post on the NGDF, one of the shop buildings of the former West Side Lumber Co. at Tuolumne, California has collapsed and the tribe plans a golf course on the former mill site. There will be a tour in April, with some details here:

Bob, thanks for posting that info. I would really like to hike the Westside someday. I don't think I can fly to CA that weekend. Does anyone know how much of the Westside can be hiked w/o trespassing or interference?

It is too bad the Westside and Cherry Valley didn't last!

The West Side ROW has many miles of accesable trails for hiking, biking, and 4 wheeling.
Out of Hull Creek you can follow the forest service roads to camp 24 and through the woods to the Clavey Bridge. You will pass through Buffalo Landing. There are still spar trees and scatered equipment along the way. You can also go to Bourland bridge and Camp 45.
Just out of Tuolumne you can wander through the campground to River Bridge. There is still track in the ground along with a speeder turntable.
Some places are on private property such as Camp 8. If you stop at the Ranger Station in WiMuk you can get a West Side Rails & Trails brochure showing all the line that is accessable.
As a side note you can also hike/drive much of the Pickering/Sugar Pine line on the other side of the ridge.
