Clipped from Railpace.com Hotnews:

CONRAIL HISTORICAL SOCIETY ACQUIRES A FORMER EL/CONRAIL CABOOSE: The Conrail Historical Society, Inc. finally acquired Conrail N7E bay window caboose 21165 on April 16, 2007. This caboose was among twenty of the last cabooses built new for the Erie Lackawanna railroad in November 1970 by the International Car Company. After nearly three years of work the acquisition effort finally became a reality. During what local news channels reported as the worst storm ever in recorded history for New York, dumping as much as 9 1/2" of rain over Brooklyn, Manhattan and parts of Long Island, the caboose was succesfully loaded onto a gooseneck trailer for shipment to the Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad in Middletown, PA where the caboose will be restored and used in passenger train operations (CRHS - posted 4/18)
