Is there any documentation for the 14-EL brake stand available online? I'm looking for something similar to the Wabtec O&I publications, which have exploded drawings. I did a Google search and came with nothing; more truck air brake info than locomotive.

Also helpful would be a listing of part numbers, and especially the gaskets. I have been led to believe that gaskets for that brake stand and pipe bracket are no longer readily available. Has anyone else run into an issue there?

There are 2 14-EL brake books on ebay right now, 20 and 25 each, that is where I purchased mine.

I did make a failed effort to convert it to digital. And now I can't find my 14-EL book lol.

Multi-service supply out of Texas had all the gaskets a few years ago. I think they are all basically flat rubber cut gaskets except they have ribs stamped in for extra sealing.

The quick replies are appreciated, but not exactly what I am looking for. I have a 1945 14-EL book, and the link above is for a slightly newer version of that book. I'm really interested in exploded views, and part numbers for any renewable parts and gaskets. I do have them for the 6-NR and many other portions of the 14 system as well as others, 26-C for example. Perhaps Westinghouse didn't share that information as publicly as the Wabtec O&Is that I have scans of? And I am glad to hear that the gaskets may not be that big an issue; just need the numbers.

There were no exploded drawings for that older stuff. The parts catalogs are traditional 2-D drawings with views and sections as needed to illustrate where the parts are.

The brake stands are called K-14. The following are the gasket parts numbers:

21368 Auto Upper gasket
28823 Auto Middle gasket
12303 Auto Lower (pb) gasket
15307 Ind upper gasket
28467 Ind lower gasket

Also, here is some gasket info for the #6, 6E, and 6K (and 14) distributing valves:

Strasburg and Multiservice might be able to sell you small quantities. Most of these gaskets are still active numbers at WABTEC since these parts were so ubiquitous on diesel switchers.

It sounds like you have the info you need, but if you want more info WABCO parts catalog 3208-4 has exploded views of the K14 and L14 valves. PM me with an email and I can forward photos of it to you.

What is the date on the catalog? I'd like to see this "exploded" view. All of the catalogs I have seen are from the 1940s or earlier, and are drawin as classic 2D projections and sections.
